Photo Shaker Card featuring My Favorite Things

Good evening, friends!  Today was a very special day - we celebrated  my best friend's daughter's first birthday!  This little girl is such an incredible blessing and it meant so much to be able to be a part of her big day!  Her mommy and I have been friends for about six years and she has been at every one of Kennedy's birthday parties during that time so it was so amazing to get to go to a birthday party for her baby!

So naturally I wanted a very special card for this little lady!  Sheep are a big deal in her family (they own a sheep ranch) so the theme for the party was barnyard animals and the Ewe Are the Best stamp set from My Favorite Things was too perfect!  I wanted to show off this super cut picture of Julianne in her Halloween costume so I decided to adapt a design I used during the holidays, changing it from a gift card holder to a photo holder!

This card is pretty simple to create and the it really brings a WOW factor, no matter what you decide to slip in the back.  The gift card/photo is not permanently attached and you can just slide it right out of the pocket that is behind the shaker window on the inside of the card!  Super fun, right?  I used my Fuse Tool to create a nice, flat shaker.

If you're interested in how to create this card, check out the video from the original cards that I linked below.  I listed all the supplies below as well, there are three separate lists - items used on both cards, items used on the Christmas cards, and items used on the birthday card.  For more specifics not the holiday version you can check out that blog post here.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope this gave you some ideas on how to use this cute design!  I'm also going to enter this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - the theme is Cute and Cuddly and I think this totally applies!  Have a great night and I'll talk to you all later! Bye!
